Lure change...

Just curious..
how often do you change lures and/or rods? meaning how many casts with out a bite till you change it up or switch to a different bait? and also.. after catching one or two fish do you make a lure or rod change to keep the fish intrigued?? I have been watching the MLF tour and have seen pros catch a fish and immediately change rods.. why do you switch when something is working?? thanks in advance!
Tight lines and good fishing to all!!

There changing to see if the can throw something in there to get a better reaction bite since the got one to eat. Mostly to see if there’s more or any bigger ones something different will get them to have a better reaction bite sometimes not.

I think this is a very good question and I hope you get lots of reply’s. My method is to throw what I like to throw first and after a while of no bites begin switching but I usually try far too long before switching.

I start with a plastic worm and haven’t switched in about 30 years. Sometimes I pick up a crankbait when I’m tired of unhooking fish
