SO temp is right around 40 degrees.. cloudy and very windy... which made seem like around 30 degrees, water was down a little but gates are still open.. and water is stained... but not full chocolate. fished for an hour and chose to to throw a green and white little cleo flutter spoon 2/5 ounce i think on SUPER SLOW retrieve.. caught one small mouth maybe 2 lbs.. and also hooked up with something huge for a few seconds. It hit, lightly and i didnt want to set the hook for fear of missing the hook set, and then it took off and took drag for about 3 to 5 seconds, and and my rod was doubled over! and then it was gone :( :( :( I am now left to wonder what in the world it might of been... i am guessing maybe a walleye?? or striper the way it just took off... definitely not a lazy fish! any ideas??
Dang I HATE it when that happens!!! anyways post your ideas...
