I wanted to install the I Pilot on my existing Minn Kota Power Drive V2. Bass Pro/Cabellas back ordered the unit. I called around to different BP stores, hoping that they may have one on the shelf but no luck. (long waits on phone)
Sooo, long story shorter, I emailed Minn Kota asking when they would be shipping to BP and Cabellas. I was informed that Minn Kota was no longer producing this product. Looks like they are trying to force fishermen to purchase the new model of the spot lock type trolling motor, more money! I'll bet that soon you won't be able to get this unit serviced due to "no parts". So much for taking care of their customers. NO MORE Minn Kota for me!
