Just picked up an 9" Elite TI at basspro on sale.

What do you lowrance guys run for a transducer on the trolling motor? It came with the total scan, is it worth having the side scan on the front? There are mounts out there for it that look incredibly easy to make. But the thing is huge! I already have the dash set up with a sidescan unit.

I was thinking of going with something that is just 2d and downscan, so i would assume the HDI is the only one, is that correct?

Yes sir, The HDI is Sonar/Down Image and is the puck of choice for the trolling motor application. Lowrance also sells a trolling motor mount, HDI cup, specifically for that transducer.
Part #'s 000-12570-001 and 000-10978-001. You need to make sureif your unit is a 7-pin (blue connector) or a 9-pin (black connector).

I also carry these items in stock at the shop if you need assitance.
