One of the guys who had not shot one yet went in all that rain, wind and mess on Monday afternoon. We thought he was nuts. It let up that evening just before dark and this nice nine point showed himself. Really a nice one for where we hunt. Big boy with a good rack. This year is shaping up to be a good one for us. We are all seeing deer and now four out of the six who have been hunting have shot one. There is one more guy who hunts with us but he has had to work, he is suppose to show up Friday. Would like to see all of us get one, three more guys to go. emoAngel Jmax

Congrats on a nice one!
He was a good one. Heavy body and a very nice rack. This young man who has grown up with us at our camp is an avid bow hunter. After shooting this nine point he was going to hold off and save his second tag for a bow trip to what is call "The Big Island" on the Mississippi River", he had been given the chance to hunt there this year. We have coyotes on our property that at times are a problem. He decided to hunt them while we all deer hunted Saturday evening. He had one of the biggest racked deer we have seen in a while come by him while he was doing that! He told me if he had let that big boy go by he would never forgive himself. He is now tagged out on bucks. lol He is liven right this year! He did say he would be disappointed not to get to hunt on the Big Island but he is mounting that big boy 8 point and will have the memory for a life time. Now he has to go back to that Big Island and retrieve five cameras he put there. emoTongue Jmax
