what a great fish. kudos for releasing alive after measuring/photographing.
I've been looking for one like it for a long time.
I remember a guy from Cleveland caught one that weighed ,8/8,,or8/10 on fly rod.
Caught it on a popping bug.
My friend set the bar kinda high for the rest of our group.9lbs 10ozs.
Not on a fly rod but a real trophy.
That was not an accident, he's caught a bunch of big smallmouth,but that's the biggest do far.
