We regularly deliver new features and functions to our customers via software upgrade, as part of our commitment to long-term product support. Issues that arise with Lowrance® displays usually result from not having the latest software installed. The best way to remedy that is to register your display today. When you register, not only will you receive more efficient product support and information about new products and promotions, but you also will receive notifications when new upgrades are available for your display.
Our latest free software update, just released this week, brings high-detail Active Imaging™ technology and a new version of StructureScan® 3D with Active Imaging™ enhancements to HDS Carbon displays. The upgrade also includes integrated support for the LR-1 Remote Control, Dual Mode WiFi capability and new dedicated sonar pages for each sonar type, making HDS Carbon easier to use than ever.

Perfect for pinpointing fish-holding areas like rockpiles, standing timber, weedbeds, ditches and drop-offs, Active Imaging™ allows anglers to see structure and cover at a greater distance from their boat with more refined detail than any other structure imaging technology. The NOS 18.3 software update enables support for both Active Imaging™ 3-in-1 (CHIRP | SideScan | DownScan Imaging™) and 2-in-1 (SideScan | DownScan Imaging™) transducers.
StructureScan® 3D with Active Imaging Enhancements
Active Imaging Enhancements for StructureScan® 3D include a cleaner water column with less noise, refreshed color palettes that do a better job of delivering the maximum amount of detail, plus a new depth-highlighting feature that colors the user-selected upper- and lower- depth limit area to help anglers better isolate specific structure and bottom depth.
LR-1 Remote Control
Mark waypoints and zoom in/zoom out using preprogrammed keys and access up to five user-programmable options without ever touching the screen of your HDS Carbon display.
Dedicated Sonar Pages
Anglers will get quicker, one-touch access to all of their sonar via a simplified HDS Carbon interface, featuring dedicated sonar pages for CHIRP, SideScan, DownScan Imaging™, StructureScan® 3D and SpotlightScan™.
Dual Mode WiFi
With Dual Mode WiFi, you can maintain a WiFi connection to HDS Carbon and still use it as an access point for screen mirroring/remote control from a smartphone or tablet via the Link app.
