Downed Aircraft on Chickamauga

I have a buddy who lives just south of Possum Creek who found a piece of the wreckage hung up on his dock. He called HCSD and they came to his house and picked it up. With the current and wind like its been the last couple of days, locating the plane must be a real bear. Anyone been near the crash site? I wonder if they're restricting boat access. Seems like a bunch of bass fishermen with high dollar electronics could be helpful.

Anyone heard any updates on the recovery?

And while I'm at it, a HUGE thank you to the first responders. We should be thankful for HCSD, STARS, (and others I don't know the proper names of) and their water rescue resources.

I was out at grasshopper tuesday and that main channel was really rough! We had strong wind from the south and the current is rolling. That typically sets up for the worst rollers out on the main channel. There was a plane flying up and down searching and a few boats searching. We thought about scanning but it was way to rough and just fished north of them. If that wind would calm down it would help a lot!

I went by possum creek boat ramp yest an they had the hole ramp shut down an full of police an several warden boats parked at the dock. But I did see bass boats still goin by
