The current is so fast you will notice the bouy downriver, like in front of the country club are pushed under the water. You just see a wake. In a boat you move too fast to fish.

I went to down to look at the water and dam on sunday right after the rain on friday/saturday and i was very surprised and Baffled to see a bass boat come out of the locks on the far side of the river... all i could think was... that Dude is crazy and just about out of his mind!! that current is NOT TO be messed with!! and especially with hidden debris that you can not see!!!!

are you talking about main river channel on chick or below the dam in the tailrace? my previous response was about chick

About the main channel on chick. I’m thinking he is right a getting up past 50,000 is to much I figure they move back in places out of the current.
