BIG velvet buck!

Well we have had this deer on cam all summer and for the past 3 years. He was coming like a clock at the same time. We drew straws for who got to go after him first, and to my surprise, I won the draw. Saturday evening I slipped my climber around the only tree you could get in. Had a hot but fun hunt seeing several deer, but not big boy. Evening 2, my buddy Tony slipped down in the hole and got in my climber. About 30 minutes before dark, I got the call. Tony hit him perfect and the buck didn’t run 30 yards. He was a main frame 5 x 5 that grossed about 180”, with 14 abnormal points on his bases that pushed his gross green score to 200 2/8”. This was a great opening weekend in KY and I am still in disbelief that we pulled our first booner off of one our farms.

Heck of a deer right there. Looks fairly young also.

He was 4.5 years old. He was a little 90” 8 pointer 2 years ago. Never would of thought he would blow up like that.

That's incredible. Thanks for posting pics. I've been shooting my bow lately and really have the itch now.
