Bloody Tail Males

Anyone caught any bed making males in the last two weeks or so? I caught a few about 3 weeks ago but not as of late. Even the two recent large females I caught were not swollen with eggs- just normal looking females. I'd guess that with the higher water, 63 water and the full moon building, something would be happening this week. But, if anyone has been catching any bed makers with worn out tails, I'd like to know. Tight Lines!

I went Friday and caught 12. None of them even looked like they had been near a bed. I have talked to several people and they said the same thing. It doesn't make any sense to me.

It's a water temp issue but, some will spawn now depending on location and water color. May will be a big month for spawning.

Out of the 30 fish or so that came into the boat Friday, 1 had a bloody tail and 1 was spilling eggs. The rest were "normal"

Thursday I caught 6 females off beds. The biggest was just under 8 lbs and was almost 26 inches long. She looked like she had just spawned.

Which end of the lake? Upper, Mid or Lower?
