If your looking for a day trip from the cold temps and cabin fever ride up to the Blythe Ferry WMA and take in the Sandhill cranes that have arrived. Several people at the viewing area taking in several thousand cranes in the Big slough and surrounding area. 58 ramp is froze up as well as Goodfield. Moons is open due to duck hunter traffic and those on main river are open where there is current. May be a while with this weather.

DrumKing and I were up there recently, seeing all those birds was amazing. I felt like I was in a episode of Planet Earth.

Yeah I forgot I read this until we made it to 58 today and the Ice was out to the main channel!! I've never seen so much there.
