Cold front

With this rain moving out towards the end of the week I noticed the weather for Friday has a high of around 36. Myself and a good buddy are hitting the lake Friday and just curious as to what you more experienced cold weather fishermen think this cold front is gonna do to the fish? This is the first year I've fished past October. So all the winter time fishing is all new to me. Just trying to learn as much as I can and become a little better every trip. Thanks for any info.

Once the pressure begins to rise after the front, fishing can get tougher. However often times the front passes and the barometer doesnt switch for a day or so.. typical, cliche, advice;slower moving baits with the fish being tighter to the cover. With the water still not being cold yet,i would think reaction baits may do well. Good luck, I willbe deer hunting.

The moment the pressure begins to increase behind the front, fish will take notice. When it gets high enough to make the fish uncomfortable (pressure in his gas bag changes enough), he will drop deeper to offset the effects of the pressure change. If there is too little depth to fully offset the pressure change, he will become extremely dormant (he is in pain) and non chasing for a few days. Now, having said this, there's always a few stragglers up and around. Ain't mother nature wonderful?

Thanks for the input. So debating on the weather for Friday is the pressure gonna be high because it's the first super cold day we've had or will the pressure rise later on in the weekend?
