New Guy and Son

So my son has got fishing fever and I forgot how much I enjoy it. We have jumped in both feet and purchased a used Triton Bass Boat that was indirectly made aware of through this site. I have owned run abouts most of my adult life so I know may way around the water and boats. I am overwhelmed by the selection of tackle so if you want to drop a line back with some of your must haves for Bass fishing I'm all ears. We have never Crappie fished but ready to give that a try also. Thanks for all that have made this forum possible. Looking forward to hear tackle advise.

I ALWAYS have some trick worms in the boat. I like watermelon red with the chartreuse tails. I did have some luck with blue Kentucky Flash color last weekend.

Best of luck, Phil

Welcome aboard. Trick worms are effective but if you have any plastics you need green pumpkin. White and chartreuse spinnerbait will be working good here and also some shad colored square billed crank baits.

yes welcome, taking the kids fish is what its all about. The basics for this area would be a pumpkin seed shaky head worm, squared bill crankbait , a chartreuse and white spinner bait, and a black and blue flippin jig.
