I want to add a bolt on spot light to my trolling motor mount. Where can I buy one? Also, if I wire it into my nav light switch on the bow, will it come on using the switch on the console?

Thanks,
Bill

With some minor engineering you can adapt a car flood light typically available at Wal-Mart and a trolling motor switch mounted under your console. These gives you a momentary switch that you can use to illuminate buoys as your flying down the lake at night and to shine on your trailer to load the boat. I prefer using a momentary switch as it won't blind other boaters.

Blue water cyber lite is about the best you can get for the money. I've had one for about two years now and it's great.

Like Fishsticks said, it would be better to use a momentary switch instead of your navigation light switch so you can turn them on and off. It's supposedly illegal to run a headlight full time but lots of people do it. Personally I just use a handheld rechargeable flood light. Works great

Just installed an automobile LED fog light on mine. Got 2 for 17$ Wired to switch on the dash. Very bright and no need to install both.

My console has 6 factory toggle switches where as only 3 1/2 of them operate something. The far right toggle is for ACC 2 & 3. I will wire up ACC 3 for the headlight.
