My new to me boat came with two HB 767s.. one in the bow and one in the console. They actually work quite well for a greyscale unit and I am not complaining other than I would like to have DI at the bow. I didn't grow up with these things so the 2D sonar is confusing to me. I like the DI and SI on the 898 I have at the console and would like to have the DI at the bow as well.
Anyway... I know bigger is better but I like to keep a little money in the wallet so I am considering a DI unit that will mount in the same cutout as the 767. Preferably with internal GPS.
So with all that said... What are these 767 units worth and what DI unit would you get for this application? I saw Cabela's has a unit on sale for under $500.
