Location: Harrison (near wolftever) (71.226.184.58) | Fixing to start some night fishing and am a newbie. What are the best lights, the old white floating or green submersible, or a combination of both? What kind of bait, live or jigs? Does the moon phase effect the bite much? Deep water or around docks or bridges? |

(67.187.68.201) | Must be after crappie or white bass. Dark nights best to draw up minnows. Lanterns or any type light will work. Put a reflector on lanterns so your eyes can see what's going on. Snag shad with crankbait hooks and let down about 15-20 feet for bigger fish like whites/hybrds/sauger. Use store minnows under floats for crappie or free line the minnows, depends on the what the fish want. Bridges and channel swings best. If you have a throw net to get shad will also work. Mighty fine fun. |

Location: Lake Wylie, SC (166.216.162.95) | I'm awful at fishing during the day and even worse at night, but the latest edition of Bassmaster magazine is full of good tips and articles on fishing at night.
black and blue jigs, spinner baits with big Colorado blades, 10" worms do pretty good. |

Location: Cleveland, TN (71.87.244.9) | This may be a bit different but you can duplicate the idea. A friend lived off the Hiwassee many years ago. His boatdock had a floodlight on the end- security and attract fish. He would turn it on about an hour before dark and start fishing at dark. The family would make friendly wagers as to what they would catch next. It was a mixed bag of bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, carp, etc. They used live bait, if memory serves me. Good luck! If you are fishing from a boat, remember to have your running lights on. |

Location: hixson, tn (184.174.155.249) | Good luck with the night fishing. Lots of fun. I would rather fish at night than day. Just remember, if you fish from a boat at night that there is always some idiot running around without lights. Both jet ski and boats. |
