| Yep, what I was told is that Choo Choo closed the doors. I thought it was coming because they had not had much inventory over the last year. It's a tough business. Now all we have here are big box stores and they aren't near the same. Always support your local fly shop. |

| I miss Feather and Fly (at least they were friendly), but I won't shed a tear for Choo Choo. Customer service was always crummy and they almost never had what I was looking for. I'm pretty tired of being made to feel guilty for not supporting crappy business just because they're local. It's about an hour and a half to 3 Rivers Angler in Knoxville or Cohutta Fishing Co. in Cartersville, GA, and two hours to several good shops in Nashville (Cumberland Transit, Fly South, etc.). These are all excellent shops run by good people, with large inventories and GREAT selections of tying materials. There's a few others scattered about, too. I'd gladly drive a bit to get what I need and support good businesses that aren't necessarily "local".

| I also echo the above sentiments...I do miss feather n fly, Michelle was the best around when she was there, but Choo-Choo, although convenient, was terrible. A real shame this city can't support a quality fly shop. Online convenience has spelled the end of most fly shops, but when you need personal service it is nice to have a local option. Choo Choo rarely filled that niche, and it is a real shame. They only served to propagate the elitest image that fly fishing has been saddled with in recent years. |

This.
It was just convenient. Maybe Rock Creek could add a section at the new Kayak shop on amnicola. Alpharetta Outfitters is pretty much just like Rock Creek and they have a small but pretty good selection of fly fishing stuff. Im sure they'd do well. Ive been meaning to suggest it I just don't know who to suggest it to so that it would be heard by people with power. |

Location: Cleveland, TN | Little River Outfitters in Townsend is a top notch fly shop. I highly recommend it; www.littleriveroutfitters.com is their website. If I recall they don't charge shipping. Shop there and go into the park and fish for wild trout. Hopefully, some rain will help although the recent storm did a number on trees. Park roads should be open by now. |
