(75.246.184.136) | This is my first fish using a pig n jig. I was using a black and blue skirted jig w/ a black and blue Power bait worm. I didn't have scales cause I was bank fishing. Had just bought the rod acouple weeks ago so Its the first fish on it and lol my first on a bait caster. I thought I try the bait and bait caster after reading the forum, so thanks guys.

Well I've always used texas rigged worms, and after reading on here kinda thought it couldnt be much different, plus you can fish them alittle faster too. Thanks for the advice.
DavidShaw - i love useing green with frog pig... Lol, that was a color I was thinking next, cause I get alot of hits on pumpkinseed/chart worms, so why not jigs? I'm going to get some frog pigs, but I kinda liked that powerbait action to, so we'll see.

I already have a boat, collecting rods now lol. If I have to spend my money on anything, I'd rather it be fishing cause at least it's something you can do with the whole family. That wasn't my personal best, but it's been so long since I've caught one that size, and it's definently got the fever going again haha |

Location: Ooltewah (98.249.86.46) | Nice. A 3/16 oz black/blue pig and jig is my #1 bait and I have caught everything on it from 6 lb largemough to 20 lb blue cats to bluegill. Everything in the water eats crawfish.

It's new to me cause I've always used plastic worms, but sometimes man they just won't hit them so I needed to switch up. What colors, other that the Blue/Black do you recommend? |

well it was fun cause it was a different strike than a worm, and I can see it helps entice the bigger fish too. I had just caught a 2lb in the same spot and moved down and then came back with the jig and it took it, so it will be something I'll be throwing. |

Thanks. I guess thats why they really don't have alot of different colors in the stores lol. I got acouple with alittle orange in the skirt and acouple with alittle chartuse, but the main color is green pumpkinseed green. i really wish I'd had my scales that day lol |

(99.45.92.146) | I make custom jigs in just about any color you could imagine. I prefer browns, greens, with orange. Peanut butter and jelly work well also. Purple and black is a great color combo as well. I use a strike king rodent to match the skirt color. |

Location: Ga. / Tn state line on Ga. side (71.9.198.138) | In my opinion there is only 3 colors of jigs.....black & blue / greens (like green pumpkin) / & browns (pumpkin seed). Mixing a little orange or chart. in with the greens and browns is o.k. also. |
