She bit a royal shad one knocker XR-50 rattle bait. She was very shallow in 2-4 ft. of water in the bend of a ditch on a flat. There was some grass still & I had been snagging both gizzard shad & 4-6 inch yellow perch in the area. She was close to the area where we won the Sat. dog-fight a few weeks back. & where Jeff Brown. (Ranger23) had his PB bass with me of 6-9 Lbs. in the Sat. dogfight he fished with me. She put up one Heck of a fight & could hardly jump out of the water. Seemed like it took 5 min to get her in.  Maybe we'll get one together when we go wet a line!

Steve , just curious, stratos-21 stated in 1st post, fell for the A-rig & this post it was on Royal shad1 knocker??????????/  ......

He wasn't in the boat & I didn't say what she hit. So as not to miss lead anyone, I am coming clean!  You can still catch good fish on something besides the (* A *-RIG)

(66.85.237.183) | I'm ready for the winter & more of these. I remember it wasn't all that big of a deal to catch an 8Lber, because Jon Taughton had just had a 40 Lb. stringer (best 5) with a 10 & a 12 Lber!!! I can't wait for the winter bite to start up!!!
