Rode Brush Creek Trail, above Whitewater Center, yesterday with some old friends. Garter snake was the only wildlife sighting, although a man just ahead of us asked if we saw the 2 bears, we didn't. Trail was in great shape.

Great trail list here. I have ridden all but Raisin Wood and Panther. Dug Gap to Pilchers is a ball buster for me. I marshalled the Snake Creek Gap race one year and rode it before hand to time trial. Some of my favorites are Chillhowie (Slick Rock) and Racoon Mtn.

I have ridden Raccoon mtn., Tanasi, Brush Creek, Boyd's Gap, Chilhowee (climbed Clemmer), Booker T., Harrison Bay & 2 local trails here in Bradley Co. Would love to ride Kokopelli Trail & Whistler Bike Park. I did a little research on booking a trip for the Kokopelli Trail a couple of years ago. They provided a ride that was van supported, meaning the van would meet you at certain points to provide meals & camping amenities. I do not remember how many days & average miles per day though. It did cover the entire Kokopelli Trail. Sounds like a cool trip to me. Haven't ridden much in the past year or so. Let me get my legs & lungs back into shape & i'll PM ya about ridin, right now I'd just slow ya down. LOL!

What local trails in Bradley Co.? I didn't know we had any? If you haven't ridden the VW trails yet you need to check them out, best trails around right now IMO.I'm primarily a road biker now, but still try to mix in trail rides from time to time. To easy to roll out of the garage and go ride rather than load up to go ride somewhere.

1 was a hiking trail that was behind Clev. State Baseball field. It has been dozed on top of trail now & subdivision is there. The other is where I hunt at, we have 4-wheeler trails I ride on.

Where is the trailhead for VW trails? Bonny Oaks Dr.?

VW trails are really easier to get to from 75 I think. Take the VW exit and follow signs to the nature center park. They have an info center when you first drive in with maps and really nice people to help you,but if it's closed you have to take the first right past it and follow the loop road to the trailheads back by the restrooms about halfway around.

Enterprise south trails are nice with more to come. can be acessed
from Hickory Valley Rd. or Bonny Oaks Dr. too. Has a nice bathroom at
the parking lot, unheard of. If the fish would slow down I would get
back on the bike

I used to ride Hawridge in Oak Ridge and Cherokee National Forest, Tellico Plains area. Haven't been back on a bike yet, but I will as soon as I lose some of this vertigo. Road and rock rash are not some of my favorite things to wear.

Something you Mtn Bikers who hunt wild Turkey may have not put together yet.. I use my Bike to cover a lot of ground and very quietly get through the trails while Turkey hunting. Ride several hundred yards, call and listen ... then another few hundred and so on. If you get an answer you can ride to get in front of the birds or ditch the bike and get set up for the bird. works well for me...

No one has mentioned the brow trails on Prentice Cooper WMA. Not the foot travel only trails but the back roads.. those are good for the family and the kids You can ride from The parking lot about a half mile in at Bradison Branch Rd and go from Bradison Branch around the brow roads to the cemetery.. Cross the road at the cemetery and go to Natural bridge by the pond and follow it all the way around to come out at Short Tail Springs Rd or Persimmon Branch Rd near where you started.

I live right by the battlefield in Chickamauga and there are lots of gravel trails and roads to ride there. Not a bad place for someone looking for a little less extreme ride and Pigeon Mtn has some cool trails for people that are in better shape than me. Last time I rode there I spent more time pushing the bike uphill and coasting down the next!

Great thread!

I've been wanting to get into mountain biking for about a year now but I've been waiting for the money and the right bike to cross my path. I found the bike in October but the money didn't come around till this week.

Bought this puppy at Costco on Monday and took it to ESNP on Wednesday afternoon with a couple friends.

Did the Black Forest and TNT trails and man was it fun! Yeah I'm out of shape and had to push it twice but I had a blast bombing down those trails with whoopdedos and tight turns.

Seems to be a great way to get in/stay in shape and have fun at the same time.

I don't but check with Scott's Bikes here in Cleveland; www.scottsbikes.com or 423-472-9881. I understand that they organize rides on a regular basis.
